Remember way back in March, when we wrote about meeting the awesome team behind the blog Behind the Food Carts? Kim, Phil and Teri were visiting Philadelphia as part of an epic 12-city food-fueled road trip, gathering material for their first cookbook. They were friendly, curious, and funny and we had a lovely time spending the morning talking coffee and making drinks with them. Along with six other Philly food trucks, they asked HubBub to contribute recipes to represent ourselves and our city in their book. Since we don't make food in our truck (or shops), we pitched them two drink recipes: how-to instructions for making a Chemex pour over, and a hangover cure cocktail we dubbed the Post Bender. After a few months of waiting, Food Truck Road Trip has officially hit the shelves!
We are so proud and excited to be featured in this book alongside some of the best food trucks from across America. And it's a cool concept for a cookbook, right? It's got more than 100 regional and global specialties, most of which don't require fancy techniques or equipment. After all, if a dish can be made in a truck, it can probably be made in your home kitchen! Also, Kim and Phil are professional photographers, so the pictures populating the pages are gorgeous. The book has gotten great press so far and it's easy to see why!
Here's the extra fun part: they've given us a free copy of Food Truck Road Trip, and we're going to give it away to one of YOU!
